I believe in giving potential clients honest and upfront information before beginning any project. Below you will find information on how I price custom projects.

Artwork Pricing = $150 per square foot

Custom Engraving Services = $65 per hour (minimum 2 hour charge) + Material Cost

Board Foot Prices:

Board feet is a measurement of volume in the pricing of lumber. Lumber is measured in 4/4 increments, thus 8/4 is approximately 2” in thickness before milling. Below are the board foot prices for the most common dimensional lumber species available and have immediate access to.

  • BF prices are subject to change as lumber prices fluctuate

  • Prices are frequently higher for live edge slab lumber. Live edge lumber may also not be ready to use right away and require drying, which again is an added cost.

  • Red Oak $8

  • Cherry $11

  • Hickory $9.50

  • Maple $11

  • Mahogany $13

  • Walnut $18.50

Resin Color Options:

Using resin creates infinite color possibilities. However, I strongly recommend choosing a single color for your pour rather than mixing multiple colors. Color mixing and swirling resin is an imperfect science, so I prefer to let the resin naturally create the design through the exothermic reaction with single solid colors.

I carry only a handful of pigments for my own personal use. You can visit Eye Candy Pigments to view their full color line for your custom projects. Add “inlandwood” at checkout to save 10%.

The Finish I Use:

I only use the best products when finishing my pieces. Walrus Oil is one of those companies that provides all natural and durable finishes for a variety of applications. My go to finish for 99% of my projects is Walrus Oil’s Furniture Butter. It is durable, simple to apply, and has a delightful citrus smell when drying.

Besides their wood related products, Walrus Oil offers products for Leather, Cast Iron, and Skin Protection.

Furniture:

I specialize in free-standing flat surface furniture design. I am able source live edge slabs, or we can use dimensional lumber to create as intricate a design as you’re up for.

Please note: I do NOT build cabinets, work remotely, nor can I install/fasten any project to an existing structure.

All custom furniture builds require a minimum 6 week window for completion. Custom projects do not begin until a 50% deposit is paid.

Dinning Tables:

  • Maximum 9ft L x 44” W or 60” round (My poor back can’t handle anything larger)

  • Resin Pour Projects = minimum 10 day labor charge

  • Solid Wood = minimum 7 day labor charge

Coffee/Entry/End Tables:

  • Custom sizes/shapes available

  • Resin Pour Projects = minimum 7 day labor charge

  • Solid Wood = minimum 5 labor charge

Base/Leg Designs:

I offer three standard designs for table bases/legs. I build my bases from solid wood. I do not use metal legs. Buying premade metal legs from a third party can add variables in the build process I am unable to control.

If you desire your base/legs to be a particular color, I highly recommend using Maple and a stain from Rubio Monocoat.

Epoxy Resin:

I use only products I believe in, and Upstart Epoxy is one of those companies. I frequently use both their Art Resin and Deep Pour resins in my projects, and have NEVER had any issues with the final cured product. The link provided is an affiliate link. If you purchase resin through this link, I will earn a small percentage of the sale. I have also added my discount code to save an additional 5% at checkout.
